a bloody misery

have started running outdoors this week, and its miserable. on the treadmill its nice and warm, no big steep hills, no wet shoes, no people getting in your way, no earphones popping out, no having to carry water, no traffic lights every 5 minutes, no cars ACTIVELY trying to mow you down and no genetal freezing (not @ my gym anyway).

i thought i was doing pretty well tine wise on the t.mill, i had cracked 4k in under 30 mins, and was thinking i was on course for a sub 30min 5k. then my nike+ arrived and i decided to start going outdoors.... at least ive done it now so i have a realistic idea of what lies ahead, and i suppose the sadist in me quite enjoys it once im out there. (except today when i had a HORRIFIC stich and spewed on Dumbarton Road)

i have to say that the nike+ kit is excellent. It keeps a monitor of everything your doing, and i think it helps me stay on target and keep myself motivated. its easy as carrit to use as well, and only £20. ive got a wee thing (no idea what its called) at the bottom of the page which shows how far ive done etc and a link to my nike+page so you can see how im doing.
